Slave Mode Checkbox in Navigator Blade Admin

Slave Mode Checkbox in Navigator Blade Admin

In most Navigator versions there is a checkbox on the Master Preference pane in the Blade Admin tab called "Slave Mode." There has been some confusion about when this checkbox should be used.

Slave Mode is intended only for unique situations where the link to the Clock Master may have increased jitter, such as a radio link of suspect quality. It is not intended for normal use cases and may cause audio artifacts if enabled on solid gigabit networks. Newer versions of Navigator include a popup that appears when you check this box explaining this. It should only be checked upon instructions from Wheatstone Tech Support.

Future versions of Navigator will rename this field to "Remote Mode" so it better explains its purpose: to make a remote blade more tolerant of long distance connections to the rest of the system.
