Understanding Outputs on the M4IP/M4IPUSB Blade
Question:
I was told the RJ45 analog and digital outputs on the M4 blade were destinations 1 thru 4 and thus were the same set of signals. But, it looks like the four analog outs are destinations 1 thru 4 but the digital outs are copies of the USB outs. Is it possible to have something routed to the digital output that is different from the USB?
Answer:
Prior to adding USB connectivity (model M4IP) the analog and AES outputs did mirror one another.
On the M4IPUSB, there are 4 analog outputs and 4 digital outputs. The digital output destinations are shared with the USB output destinations. (AES out 1 is the same as USB A, AES out 2 is the same as USB B, and so on.
The M4IP is no longer in production; we only make the M4IPUSB model now.
