LXE Setup GUI Doesn’t See Modules/Navigator Doesn’t See Blades

LXE Setup GUI Doesn’t See Modules/Navigator Doesn’t See Blades

If the LXE GUI doesn’t see the modules and/or Navigator doesn’t see the blades check the Windows Firewall.

The WNIP network will be considered a “public” network by Windows, which has the most restrictive rules in Windows, and it’s blocking our traffic.

In Windows, go to the Control Panel and open the Windows Firewall. Go to Advanced Settings. Click on Inbound Rules. Look for all of the inbound rules for WheatNet and the LXE.

Alert
Green Check = Allowed, Red Slash = Blocked.
Double-click any of the WNIP rules that are blocked for Public and change them to Allow.

Alternatively, you can also turn off the Windows Firewall for the “public” network and that will also stop Windows from blocking the traffic that we need.
