If you are using hardware relays to control automation, the process is the same. The only difference is you will set up the LIO pins in WheatNet-IP on the blade to match where you wired the relay closures as opposed to a Soft LIO number.

If you have a LXE console, don’t forget to go to the console GUI, Module Layout page and click on the On button for the fader. Then check the “Mach Start LIO” box. (it’s advisable to do this on the first fader, then right click to copy the fader module, then paste to all fader modules so you can move the automation to any fader) If this box is unchecked, the Machine Start will not be forwarded to the LIO.

Each console setup GUI will have an entry similar to this. On the DMX, L Series, and IP series it looks like this:
On the LXE it looks like this:
You want to set the console to prevent a Machine Start when a Remote On command comes from a button push. Otherwise, you'll start the cut from the console and the automation sends a Machine Start, which sends another Remote On and multiple cuts fire.
So if the option is "No LIO with RMT," check the box and apply. For the LXE, you'll leave unchecked the box for "Send When Channel on/off via LIO." This way if automation starts the cut, we don't send a second logic command.
