How To Reset the Navigtor Password

The default password for Navigator is blank; click OK with an empty field to enter if the default has not been changed.

Warning
Resetting a lost or forgotten WheatNet-IP Navigator password requires editing the Windows Registry. Back the Registry up and create a system restore point before editing.

To reset the Navigator password, perform the following steps:

  • Close Navigator.
  • Open the Registry editor  (run regedit)  
  • Find the key:  Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wheatstone\E2\password
  • Delete it.
  • Exit the Registry editor
  • Start Navigator - no password required - just hit Enter key.
