Resetting a lost or forgotten Wheatnet Navigator password requires editing the Windows Registery. Note that editing the Windows Registry incorrectly can render the computer unusable. Make a back up of the Registry and a System Restore point before editing.
To reset the Navigator password, do the following steps:
- Close Navigator.
- Open the Registry editor (run regedit)
- Find the key: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wheatstone\E2\password
- Delete it.
- Exit the Registry editor
- Start Navigator – no password required – just hit Enter key.
