All Blades Appear Disconnected in Navigator/Navigator Sees No Blades

The Problem:

Navigator seems to hang on startup. It looks like this:

When Navigator starts, it tries to communicate using the last IP address it was on when the program was previously run. If you changed the IP address of your computer to something different, Navigator sits there, lost. Sometimes you see blades disconnected, sometimes there’s just nothing.

To fix this:

  1. Close Navigator, then right-click on the icon and choose Run as Administrator to restart it.
  2. Wait for Navigator to time out waiting on blades and for the tabs up top to appear.
  3. Click on the Preferences tab.
  4. Under Network, click Set.
  5. From the drop-down, pick the correct IP address.
  6. You will be prompted to restart Navigator and then everything will work.

Then after the restart, you’re back to normal!
